Hit-and-run crash investigated on I-81

State police at Frackville reported investigating a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, at 12:21 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers said Neil Conway, 75, of Scranton, was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus in the left lane southbound and passing a FedEx truck tractor hauling double trailers. The FedEx truck entered his lane, Conway said, with the driver's side of the truck and trailers hitting the passenger side of the Taurus. Conway was then forced into the center median grass area, but was able to gain control. He then stopped in the center median and called 911.

The FedEx vehicle was reported to continue south without stopping. The FedEx truck and trailers should have red paint and minor damage to the driver's side.

Conway requested to be taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, for evaluation. The Taurus was towed from the scene.
