Barnesville man faces drug charges

Shawn Edward Flaim Jr., 25, of 130 Locust Lake Road, Barnesville, was cited by Tamaqua police after an incident on April 16.

Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle, a white Pontiac, parked illegally to the rear of 227 Cedar St. Officers found Flaim in the car.

He said he was waiting for a friend, whose name he didn't know, who had entered one of the houses in the area. Flaim agreed to allow police to search him. Officers found a plastic bag filled with a white crystal substance in his right front watch pocket. The crystal field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Flaim was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
