Auto crash suit
Lisa Hansler, 770 Franklin Ave., Palmerton, filed a civil complaint against Garfield Huguley, 3490 Stage Coach West, Aquashicola.
The suit alleges on Oct. 21, 2015, the plaintiff was driving a vehicle on Delaware Avenue at Third Street in Palmerton when it was struck by a vehicle driven by the defendant. Negligence is alleged for injuries sustained by the plaintiff and detailed in the suit. Sought are damages in excess of $50,000 plus costs, interest and fees.

Suit for damages
Barbra Lenches, natural guardian of Jade Roberts, a minor, 8 Stony Creek Road, Apt. 3, Jim Thorpe, filed a civil complaint against James J. and Victoria A. Bennick, 2804 Long Run Road, Lehighton, dba Jim and Vickie's Neighborhood Laundromat, 15 W. Fifth St., Jim Thorpe.
The suit states the business has at least three wood-topped metal-legged tables used for folding/holding laundry but allegedly were not designed for laundromat use as they have two legs with a "t" shape designed at the floor. The tables are also several decades old and unstable, it is alleged.
On May 9, the minor was under one of the tables, the suit alleges, when another child in the laundromat pulled on the table, causing it to become unstable and fall, striking the minor and causing injuries which are detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in an amount "in excess of the jurisdictional limit regarding arbitration in local rules."
