Two-vehicle crash in Schuylkill

State police at Frackville reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 6:54 p.m. July 25 along Route 901 in Cass Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Sonia Leitzel, 35, of Point Township, Northumberland County, was driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus southbound and failed to negotiate a right curve in the road. The Dodge crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a 2004 Chevrolet Venture driven by Bjoern Helge Buvarp, 39, of Kulpmont, Northumberland County.

Leitzel and her passenger Michael Newman, 52, of Point Township, and Buvarp and his passenger, Jonathan Hojnowski, 20, of Kulpmont, were not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Leitzel for the crash.
