Burglaries investigated
State police at Frackville reported investigating two burglaries at two Schuylkill County locations.
A break-in occurred at the Gasway Fuel Station, along Route 61 in New Castle Township, just north of Saint Clair. At 12:18 a.m., criminals used a prying tool to open the locked front door. They were apparently scared off when the alarm system activated. Nothing was reported missing by the owner.
A Girardville man reported his residence in the 130 block of West Ogden Street, was entered and $400 and an unknown amount of prescription medication was stolen. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 8:30 p.m. July 23.
