Mount Bethel man cited after crash

Larry N. Vanderbilt, 73, of Mount Bethel, was cited for following too closely after a crash at 1:35 p.m. July 28 as the intersection of Old Route 115 and Flyte Road in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 1996 Ford F-250 northbound when it was unable to stop in time for traffic that was backed up. The vehicle rear-ended a 2004 Dodge Caravan operated by Andrew D. Zafiropoulos, 66, of Gilbert, which was stopped in the line of traffic.

No one was injured in the collision.

Vanderbilt's F-250 was towed from the scene.
