AN IDEA FROM A TOWN THAT SAVED BRIDGE

I can appreciate the desire of the people of Jim Thorpe to save the old bridge. Every year my husband and I travel to western Massachusetts and stop in Shelburne Falls. They have a bridge of flowers, which attracts thousands of people every year. Shelburne Falls is a quaint little town in which the movie "The Judge" was filmed. It starred Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall. Next to the bridge of flowers is a steel bridge on which they do some kind of dinner every year.

The Jim Thorpe bridge is much bigger and needs some big ideas, but I think it would be cool to turn it into something useful.
