Drug charges filed against Coaldale woman

Coaldale Police have filed charges against April Lynn McGeehan, 28, of East High Street, Coaldale, after officers provided an assist to a state constable serving a warrant.

The constable took McGeehan into custody Friday morning on several outstanding warrants. At the time, she had a spoon, four hypodermic needles and two pills, suspected to be Xanax, on her.

She faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a misbranded controlled substance.

The drug items were confiscated and McGeehan was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville on the arrest warrants.
