One-vehicle crash on I-81

State police at Frackville investigating a one-vehicle crash at 8:35 p.m. on Friday along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

Jarod M. Kidd, 32, of Scottsville, Virginia, was driving a 2014 Honda CRV northbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. Kidd was unable to avoid striking the deer, which caused damages to the front end and engine. Kidd and his passenger, Kathryn E. Dolan, 36, of Scottsville, were not injured.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
