Polk Township crash ends in DUI arrest

A 58-year-old woman from Polk Township is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 5:31 p.m. June 29 in the area of 399 Whitey B Drive, Kresgeville, Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred when the woman lost control of a black Jeep Cherokee and went travel down an embankment. Police said the driver, who they did not identify, displayed signs of impairment due to consuming an alcoholic beverage.
