Published August 09. 2016 12:39PM

A vehicle stop along Interstate 80 westbound in East Side Borough, Carbon County, led to the arrest of the driver and passenger on drug charges.

State police at Fern Ridge said a 2013 Chevrolet Impala was stopped at 6:41 p.m. on Aug. 4 for a window tint violation.

At the scene, the driver was identified as Terrance Joseph Ellison-Love, 22, and his passenger, Marc Oliver Barnes, 25, both of Williamsport. Troopers detected multiple indicators of criminal activity and asked for a consent search of the vehicle, which Ellison-Love denied.

A K-9 unit was brought to the scene and indicated drugs in the vehicle. A probable search was then conducted and found was four pounds of marijuana and $1,372 in cash.

The two were taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related drug offenses.
