No one is injured in Polk Township crash

No one was injuredin a two-vehicle crash at 7:08 a.m. Tuesdayat the intersection of Pleasant Drive and Chestnut Lane in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the incident took place when a 2015 Kia Forte operated by Debra M. McIlveny, 55, of Kunkletown, traveling north on Chestnut Lane, proceeded into the intersection after stopping for a stop sign and struck a 2015 Chrysler 300 driven by Matthew C. Solt, 23, of Kunkletown. The latter was traveling west on Pleasant Drive at the time.

Police said the Forte sustained heavy front-end damages and was towed from the scene. The Chrysler was driven from the scene.

Police said McIlveny was cited.
