Driver cited after Towamensing crash

John P. Curry, 28, of Brodheadsville, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdayat the intersection of Interchange and Trachsville Hill roads in Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra south on Interchange Road when it struck a 1994 Buick LaSabre operated by Sara E. Levy, 25, of Lehighton. The latter was stopped waiting to make a left turn onto Trachsville Hill Road when the collision took place.

Police said Levy had suspected minor injuries and was transported to the Palmerton Hospital for treatment.

The GMC sustained minor damages while the LaSabre needed to be towed from the scene.
