Man cited after swearing at officers
When Tamaqua police responded to a reported domestic incident at 9:21 p.m. Aug. 2, they were met by a man spewing obscenities and vulgarities.
A concerned resident called police to report a domestic incident in the 600 block of East Elm Street. When officers arrived they were met by Sean A. Maraj Jr., 31, who took one look at them, said they were trespassing and began swearing.
When told the officers needed to speak with his girlfriend, Maraj had the woman stand behind him while officers asked if she needed any help.
He repeatedly advised his girlfriend not to go outdoors to speak with the officers. The woman told officers everything was "OK."
As police began to leave, Maraj unleashed another volley of swear words and lewd comments.
He was cited for disorderly conduct.
