Vehicle flips over in Schuylkill crash
A vehicle flipped over during a crash in Schuylkill County on Tuesday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Aslynn M. Herring, 20, of Pottsville, was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 southbound on Maple Avenue in Norwegian Township and she lost control while negotiating a left curve on the wet roadway. The car struck an embankment, then began to flip over onto its driver's side and traveled southeast for about 40 feet before coming to rest on its driver's side in the middle of the southbound lane.
Herring and a 17-year-old female from Minersville sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center - South Jackson Street, Pottsville.
Two other passengers, James L. Schwalm, 21, of Port Carbon, and Justin E. Androsko, 20, of Pottsville, were not injured.
Troopers cited Herring for the crash.
