Special DUI patrols

State police at Lehighton will be conducting special stationary/roving DUI patrols over the Labor Day weekend in an effort to reduce the number of crashes, fatalities and injuries on state roads. The operation is part of the state police Selective Traffic Enforcement Against Drunk Driving (STEAD D) program.

The special patrols will be conduct during the time frame of Sept. 2 through 6 on Carbon and Monroe county roads.
