Monroe burglary being investigated

A burglary at a Monroe County residence is being investigated by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said criminals entered the residence in the 1000 block ofHideaway Hill Road in Polk Township, through an unlocked garage door. Two Stihl 455 chain saws, Craftsman push mower, Toro weed whacker, Craftsman chop saw, two Dewalt drills, a Milwaukee handheld saw and miscellaneous hand tools were removed from the home.

The home is owned by a 49-year-old male from Coplay. The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 15 and Monday.
