Tamaqua woman cited for dog law violation
Michelle Marie Rex, 41, of Cherry Street, Tamaqua, was cited for allowing her dog to run loose on Aug. 1.
The white and brown pit bull was found under a trailer in the 400 block of Pine Street and was recovered by volunteers with the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue group, who were familiar with the animal due to past incidents.
Rex told police she gave the dog away, but that person said the dog was never his.
