Upcoming artist meet & greet in Tamaqua

The Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua, will host artist Suzanne Dalton next month.

A meet & greet will be held with the artist from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 5. The public is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit of Dalton's work will be on display until Jan. 27.

Now living in the Tamaqua area, Dalton was born and raised in Philadelphia. She attended Kutztown University and the Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts). She graduated from PCA with a B.S. in environmental design.

She attends watercolor workshops throughout the year. The things that inspire her to paint are everywhere, from pets, to people, to new surroundings.

"Scenic beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it's just a different perspective, or a different time of day that makes the mundane beautiful. Schuylkill County is a beautiful area, with a rich history."
