$2,000 reward offered in killing of LV elk

The Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrator(s) who committed an act of animal cruelty.

State Police at Bethlehem is investigating a animal cruelty which involved the intentional killing of an elk. The incident occurred between the dates of Dec. 3 and 4 at 5050 Game Preserve Road, the Lehigh valley Game preserve in North Whitehall Township. Lehigh Valley Zoo staff discovered that a female elk had been killed inside a fenced in area.

Anyone having information relative to these crime or that may lead to the arrest of this individual(s) is encouraged to call state police at 610-861-2026; or Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers toll-free number, 1-800-426-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their name, and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
