E'burg man injured in interstate crash

Michael L. Stephans, 71, of East Stroudsburg, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:49 p.m.Monday on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the severity of his injuries was unknown but a response by the Pocono Mountain Regional EMS was necessary.

Police said he was driving a 2005 Subaru Forester eastbound that traveled off the left side of the road and crashed into a ditch.

The Tobyhanna Township Fire Company also responded, as did a local towing company.

Police said Stephans was cited for the incident.
