State Police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers in recent days along Monroe County roads.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:53 a.m. Nov. 30 along Gilbert Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Darice L. Asbee, 20, of Effort, was driving a 1996 Subaru Outback southbound when she overcompensated on a curve, and drove over the fog line while going down an incline, causing her to losing control.

The vehicle then entered the northbound lane, onto the berm and struck a tree, where it came to rest.

Asbee was not injured. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

• Another crash was reported on Nov. 30 along Pheasant Run Road in Chestnuthill Township. Cherie E. Reiss, 26, of Gilbert, was driving a 2008 Suzuki Forenza eastbound.

She overcompensated on a curve, drove over the fog line and traveled down an incline before entering the westbound lane, onto the berm and striking a tree.

Reiss was not injured but was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

• Troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 23 along Route 115, west of Long Mountain Drive, in Chestnuthill Township.

Dennis R. Bodtman, 49, of Blakeslee, and Dietra J. Derose, 38, of Effort, were both southbound when Derose stopped due to traffic ahead of her.

Her 2011 Nissan Rogue was struck in the rear by Bodtman's 2009 Nissan 370Z. He failed to see Derose stopping.

No one was injured.
