Traffic stop leads to drug charges

A traffic stop along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough, Carbon County, has led to the arrest of the driver on drug charges.

State police at Fern Ridge stopped Darrell Anthony Walker, 42, ofEast Church Street, Williamsport, at about 10:42 a.m. on Saturday for a window violation.

At the stop, troopers detected multiple indicators of criminal activity. A search of the vehicle found about 25 grams of suspected cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

Walker was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related charges.

He is currently an inmate in the county prison in Nesquehoning.
