Brooklyn man jailed for Monroe assault

A Brooklyn, New York, man was jailed following an assault incident in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Kajuan S. Woods, 28, was arrested for an incident that occurred at 103 Cabin Lane, in Ross Township, between 5 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 26. Woods and a 33-year-old woman got into a verbal altercation that turned physical when he assaulted her. She was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of injuries.

Woods was charged with aggravated assault and related counts, arraigned before a district judge, and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville in lieu of bail. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
