Tamaqua couple cited after fighting in public again
Three days after being cited for disorderly conduct, a Tamaqua couple was at it again.
Tamaqua Police were dispatched to the Tamaqua ABC High Rise at 3:40 p.m. Jan. 28 after a caller reported that Valerie Nattress, 35, and Daniel Waldron, 33, both of 403 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, were fighting on high-rise property. Numerous witnesses said Nattress had been shoving Waldron and hitting him with her purse.
The couple was still at the high-rise when officers arrived. Nattress, who had previously been warned to stay away from the property on numerous occasions, said she was there to visit her uncle. The uncle told officers he had no interest in any dealings with his niece and has taken to refusing to answer his phone when she calls.
Waldron apologized and left the property. Nattress was uncooperative, saying she had a right to use the benches at the apartment complex.
She was removed from the property and issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
