Man charged after fight over board game

A Monroe County man has been charged with criminal mischief and simple assault for his role in a fight last month.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department said that at 8:18 p.m. Jan. 30, officers were dispatched to 5104 Iroquois St. in Pocono Farms, Tobyhanna, where a fight had occurred.

The victim told police the fight occurred after a disagreement while playing a board game.

The victim was punched several times and choked while the defendant, Zacharias Wheelis, stomped on the victim's purpose-built gaming computer, causing $1,500 in damages.

Charges filed include simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment.
