Man cited in theft from ex-girlfriend

A Kelayres man has been cited by McAdoo Police after he took a vehicle without permission.

Robert Pupko, 23, was at his ex-girlfriend's home in McAdoo on Feb. 1. At one point, while the woman says she was sleeping, he removed $250 in cash, then drove off in her vehicle.

The victim told police she called and texted Pupko several times about the car and money, until he finally told her he left both items in the Wendy's parking lot in Hazleton.

The victim went to the lot, where she found her car, but no cash.

Pupko was cited for theft by unlawful taking and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
