Palmerton police log

Palmerton Police Department reported the following incidents:

Burglary: Charges were filed against Shane Smith, 42, of Palmerton, for burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, theft by deception, and forgery. The incident occurred from Nov. 15 to Jan. 8, in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

Driving under suspension: Charges were filed against Zachary Penick, 29, of Slatedale, for unauthorized use of automobile, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, immediate notice of accident to police,careless driving and driving under suspension. The incident occurred on Dec. 27 in the 500 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

Public drunkenness: Charges were filed against Randy Dieter, 43, of Ashfield, for resisting arrest, obstruction administration of law, two counts of disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. The incident occurred on Feb. 7 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Possession of drug paraphernalia: Charges were filed against Patrick Sanchez, 22, of Allentown, for DUI, possession or delivery of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless drivingand general lighting requirements. The incident occurred on Dec. 5 on Route 248 west.

DUI: Charges were filed against Tabitha Amey, 41, of Palmerton, for DUI, careless drivingand unlawful activities. The incident occurred on Jan. 9 at Delaware Avenue and Third Street.

Charges were filed against April Marsh, 33, of Lehighton, for DUI, careless driving and other driving violations.. The incident occurred on Jan. 3 in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue.

Other: Police also issued six citations for speeding; four for traffic violations; four for vehicle violations; and two for junked vehicles.
