Boyertown man jailed after Route 309 stop

Published February 25. 2016 05:29AM

A Boyertown man landed in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville after a traffic stop in Tamaqua on Monday.

Kyle Hoch, 26, of 57 Woodside Drive, was driving a 2003 Audi south on Route 309 when an officer on patrol noticed an expired registration sticker on the vehicle.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified Hoch as the driver. A records check found two outstanding warrants for his arrest as well as a suspended driver's license.

When asked for the vehicle's registration and insurance, Hoch said he didn't know where they were as the car was owned by a friend.

The license plate on the car did have a "sticker" with a 2-16 date, but it was made of cardboard. The inspection sticker on the car was also a fake.

Hoch was transported to the county prison on the warrants. He will be charged with driving without a valid license.

The vehicle was towed by Hope's Towing.
