Slip/fall suit
Ahmed Elmasry, 190 Second St., Schwenksville, has filed a civil action against Harry Packer Mansion LLC, 1 Packer Hill Ave., Jim Thorpe, and Robert and Patricia Handwerk, 19 Packer Hill Ave., Jim Thorpe, seeking damages in a slip and fall suit.
The suit states on Feb. 21, 2014, while a guest at the mansion, Elmasry, upon walking on a sidewalk toward the main building after leaving his room, was caused to flip and fall to the ground due to dangerous and defective icy and slippery conditions caused by water running off a roof. The suit claims the plaintiff suffered "severe and permanent injuries" which are detailed in the suit.
Sought are damages not in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs and fees.
