Man cited for not cleaning up after dogs
A Tamaqua man was cited for allowing his dogs to defecate on a public sidewalk.
Tamaqua police were on patrol at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 21 when they saw Nicholas Weschler, 32, of 128 N. Greenwood St., walking his two dogs. One of the dogs was defecating on the sidewalk as the officer drove past.
The officer turned around and pulled in to speak with Weschler, at which time the other dog did his "business" about 20 feet from the first pile.
Weschler admitted he didn't have anything to clean up after his dogs, but planned to go home, get something and come back.
He was cited under the borough's animal control ordinance.
