Schuylkill driver cited after Lehigh crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a crash in Lehigh County that occurred at 6:52 a.m. on Feb. 16 in Lowhill Township.

State police at Fogelsville said William J. Miller, 60, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2008 Dodge Nitro southbound on Route 100 and approaching a right curve. Miller lost control of his car and crossed the double-yellow line and struck the left side drive wheels of a 2011 Freightliner tractor with trailer operated by Gerald S. Chandler Jr., 55, of Rome, Bradford County, who was northbound.

Miller reported a minor hand injury but refused medical treatment. Chandler was not injured. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Miller for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
