Two people cited for causing disturbance
Two people were cited by Tamaqua police after causing a disturbance on Feb. 23.
At 7:15 a.m. police responded to 333 Hazle St. where a male and a female were yelling at each other while standing on the sidewalk.
The caller told police the participants were Johnathan C. Hindermyer, 37, and Denise Elizabeth Latham, 33, both of 335 Hazle St.
Latham told officers the couple was arguing because she was gathering her belongings to move.
Both were cited for disorderly conduct.
Also at 335 Hazle St., a Minersville man was cited by Tamaqua police on Friday after he fell asleep while baby-sitting, which resulted in a 6-year-old child being unsupervised while outside.
Police received a call from a Schuylkill County Children and Youth social worker asking them to meet her at a home on Hazle Street. At the home the worker said the 6-year-old, along with a 14-year-old girl, were left alone with a male who was unknown to them. The man was later identified as Kristopher E. Quirk, 33, of 255 Delaware Ave. in Minersville, after he was found asleep in an upstairs bedroom.
The children were placed in the custody of their grandmother.
Quirk was cited for endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
