Theft of fuel tank being investigated
State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a fuel tank from a Schuylkill County site.
Troopers said the tank was removed from outside a garage located along Route 209, just outside the village of Cumbola at the line with New Philadelphia, in Blythe Township. The tank is owned by H.M.C. Inc., of Bernville, Berks County.
The tank is a portable type, mounted on a skid, diamond plated, holds 50 gallons of fuel and is valued at $250. Troopers said the tank also had a hand crank fuel pump attached to the top of the tank which has a value of $150. The tank was taken sometime between Dec. 24 and Jan. 1.
