Drivers sought in two hit-and-run incidents

Two hit-and-run drivers are being sought in two separate incidents in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said the first incident occurred during the morning hours of Jan. 6 in the area of 1333 Valley Road in Walker Township. Troopers said a vehicle ran off the road and collided with a steel mail box and plastic newspaper box, destroying the post and the plastic paper box. The crash occurred on the property of Joseph Kuklis Jr. There could be damage to the right front bumper area of the vehicle.

The second incident occurred in the area of 967 Valley Road in New Castle Township on Friday about 10:10 a.m. The driver of a vehicle lost control on a icy road and it spun onto the berm where it struck a mailbox and plastic newspaper box destroying the posts for both. The incident occurred on the property of Mark Whiteash. The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a dark-colored Ford Escape, possibly gray or green.
