Milnesville man cited for DUI

A Milnesville man was cited by McAdoo Police following a traffic stop on Dec. 20.

An officer on patrol at 12:15 a.m. saw an Oldsmobile double parked on South Logan Street. The officer stopped to see if there was a problem, when the car started moving. The officer made a traffic stop after the Olds turned into an alley and identified the driver as Robert Bast.

There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, and Bast showed signs of possible drug use. He failed field sobriety tests, then admitted to smoking marijuana a few hours earlier. When told he was going to be cited, Bast became uncooperative and refused to blood tests.

He was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
