Virginia driver facing DUI after crash

A Virginia driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 9:14 p.m. on Wednesday along Interstate 81 in Delano Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Jeffery Law, 46, of Mechanicsville, was driving a 2010 Ford Focus northbound when he lost control and drove into the median. The car went over several roadway signs and struck a tree stump. The car rolled over onto its roof and came to rest about 50 feet from the stump.

Law was not injured but was taken into custody for DUI, troopers said. The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
