Brodheadsville man cited after crash

Tyler J. Laky, 20, of Brodheadsville, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks for driving too fast for conditions after an incident at 10:20 p.m. Jan. 12 on Route 209 in Towamensing Township.

Police said he was operating a 1996 Volkswagen Passat northbound on Route 209 at a speed too fast for conditions on a partially snow-covered roadway. Police said he lost control of the vehicle, which began traveling off the highway and began to turn counterclockwise while it enteredthe Country Junction parking lot, where it jumped over a curb and landed on its wheels in the lot.

Police said there were no injuries or property damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
