Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions have been filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

JP Morgan Chase Bank, c/o 3415 Vision Drive, Columbus, Ohio, filed against Peter M. and Margaret Desmedt, 122 Buckhill Road, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $103,474.77 and continuing interest.

Wells Fargo Bank, c/o 3476 Stateview Boulevard, Fort Mill, South Carolina, filed against Lorrie A. Miller, 122 Spencer Lane, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $151,722.23 and continuing interest.

Citimortgage, c/o 1000 Technology Road, O'Fallon, Ohio, filed against Christopher J. Devosa, 100 Shawnee Trail, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $175,459.16 and continuing interest.

PennyMac Loan Services, c/o 6101 Condor Drive, Moorpark, California, filed against Mary P. and Frank C. Hinkle, 431 Spring St., Jim Thorpe, over property at that address. Sought is $70,086.31 and continuing interest.

Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by Discover Bank, New Albany, Ohio, against the following for alleged defaults on credit cards. Defendants are Elizabeth A. Marzen, 300 Carnation Lane, Lehighton, seeking $1,934.76; and Steve Kunkle, 747 Fairyland Road, Lehighton, seeking $1,475.97.

Seeks payment

Jack L. Slagle Fire Equipment and Supply Inc., 1100 Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston, Virginia, filed a civil complaint against Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corporation, KME Fire Apparatus, 1 Industrial Complex, Nesquehoning.

The suit states that beginning Jan. 1, 2012, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant to serve as a sales representative to sell their products and equipment in a designated territory which included Wake County, North Carolina. The plaintiff secured various customers for the benefit of the defendant including Wake County for production and delivery of certain specified products and equipment, the suit states.

The suit further states the plaintiff performed all obligations required under the contract section cited, despite "inexplicable termination subsequent to placement of those orders."

The suit claims the plaintiff is owed payment for the services provided to the defendant. Sought is a judgment of $29,400 plus interest, costs and fees.

Slip and fall suit

Joan Madden, 107 Alpine Drive, Kunkletown, filed a civil action against Carbon County Hearing, LLC, 661 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton.

The suit states the plaintiff was at the defendant's property on Feb. 26, 2015, and walking up a ramp to the entrance when she was caused to slip, stumble and fall due to divots of snow and ice causing injuries which are detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs and fees.
