Lansford residents facing charges

Rush Township police have identified two people involved in retail theft incidents at the HT Commons Walmart on Jan. 17.

Matthew Plieth, 26, of Lansford was involved in two incidents at the store. The first was at 7:51 p.m. and involved merchandise valued at $84.62.

At 10:27 p.m., Jennifer Mead, 28, also of Lansford, entered the store and attempted to return the stolen items for cash. When she was denied she handed over the items to Plieth.

He will be charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property. She will be charged with criminal conspiracy and attempted theft.
