Published July 06. 2016 11:46AM

Tamaqua police cited two people after a hit-and-run crash on June 21.

A witness contacted police at 3:23 p.m. to report that a black Honda and a green pickup were driving erratically on streets in the borough's South Ward. At one point the pickup struck the rear bumper of the Honda, causing the driver to lose control in the area of Spruce Street and Sewer Plant Road. The Honda almost struck several parked vehicles, including the witness's.

When the witness got out of his car, the woman driving the Honda backed up to the point where her tire was touching his foot. She then fled the scene, but was later identified as Lindsay Burnett, 29, of 301 Penn St., Tamaqua.

The man driving the pickup was identified as Jason DeMarco, 40, also of 301 Penn St., Tamaqua. He too left the scene after an argument with the witness.

Burnett and DeMarco received citations for reckless driving, careless driving and disorderly conduct.
