Monroe County incidents
State police in Lehighton are investigating the following incidents in Monroe County.
Break-in:A burglary that happened between noon and 6 p.m. June 23 at a home in the 1500 block of Brian Lane in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, is being investigated.
Police said the victims reported someone broke into the home and stole a television, Xbox, games and jewelry.
Check forgery:Police said a forgery incident was reported to them at 1 p.m.June 27. Someone reportedly forged a cashier's check at an apartment on Kunkletown Road.
Fraud:Police said a Kunkletown woman is the victim of a fraud case. Someone used her eBay account to make fraudulent purchases.
The woman reported the incident at 8 a.m. June 22.
Criminal mischief:State police at Lehighton are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday at a residence in Kunkletown.
Police said someone knocked over a flower planter from the steps at a homealong Greenway Lane.
Theft:A theft incident was reported to police at 12:40 p.m. July 2. The victimreported someone removed the engine belt from a John Deere tractor that was located on his property on Church Road in Towamensing Township.
Trespassing:State police were summoned at 11:45 p.m. Tuesdayto investigate a trespassing case in Kunkletown.
The incident happened on the 2000 block of 57 Road.
Police said they were told that Shane Rex of Lehighton entered the property and ran away when he was confronted.
Vehicle damaged:State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident in which a vehicle owned by a 63-year-old Ross Township man was damaged by vandals.
The incident happened between 11 and 11:30 p.m. June 18in the area of Ruby Court in the township.
Turf damaged:A criminal mischief incident that happened between 10 p.m. June 8 and 8 a.m. June 9 on Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.
Police said someone damaged the turf in the victim's field by driving a vehicle through the field before fleeing the scene.
Yard damaged:Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on Potato Path Road in Polk Township. The homeowner reported someone drove through and damaged his yard.
