Police report Carbon crashes

State police at Lehighton are investigating the following Carbon County crashes.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle collision along Route 248 in Parryville at 2:34 p.m. June 30.

State police at Lehighton said Kody Jonathan Barnhart, 20, of Palmerton, and Steven Michael Taschler, 20, of Tamaqua, were pushing a vehicle off the road eastbound to the right shoulder. As Barnhart was re-entering the vehicle, it was struck on the driver's side door by a vehicle driven by Richard Austin Teates, 81, of Lehighton. Both vehicles had to be towed.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:12 p.m. June 26 along Interchange Road (Route 209) in Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Robert J. Zondlo, 67, of Effort, and Heidi H. Von Leibenstein, 44, of Kutztown, were both westbound when Zondlo slowed down to make a right turn into a service station. Von Leibenstein failed to see him slowing down with the front of her Subaru Legacy hitting the rear of Zondlo's 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. The Legacy had to be towed from the scene.
