Boy found with drug paraphernalia

Nesquehoning police filed charges against a juvenile after he lied to police and had drug paraphernalia.

Borough officer Timothy Wuttke was patrolling in the area of the Panther Valley Elementary School along Mermon Avenue around 1 a.m. on June 30 when he saw three juveniles. He stopped and spoke with the juveniles and discovered one of the boys had a marijuana pipe. He asked the boy's name, but was given a false name.

The boy was placed under arrest and then turned over to his mother. Charges were filed with the Carbon County Juvenile Probation department.
