Schuylkill driver facing DUI count after crash
A Schuylkill County woman is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash in which she had two juveniles in the vehicle with her.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m. on July 13 along Plane Street in Gordon borough.
State police at Frackville said Chantelle A. Klinger, 34, of Pottsville, was driving a 1997 Subaru Outback northbound when she failed to maintain her lane of travel.
She veered through the southbound lane and struck an embankment.
The vehicle traveled about 75 feet south through a yard before hitting a stop sign with the front end.
Klinger and her two passengers, a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, were not injured.
Troopers said Klinger showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
She was transported to a Pottsville hospital for a blood test.
