Published July 20. 2016 04:00PM

A New Jersey woman was cited by Tamaqua police after she attempted to remove her child from the girl's custodial guardian.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Broad Street at 12:45 p.m. June 28 for a domestic argument in progress. On scene they spoke with the child's guardian, who said Alyssa Marie Keating, 24, of Howell, tried to enter the rear seat of her car in an attempt to take the child. When the victim blocked access, Keating grabbed her wrist, attempting to block her from calling police.

Keating was cited for harassment.
