Son steals car, $3,000 from his mother

Shawn Michael Melleski, 24, of Albrightsville, has been charged state police at the Fern Ridge in connection with the theft of his mother's car and $3,000.

Police said they were called at 7 a.m. July 12 to investigate the incident that happened at Lovelace Road, Penn Forest Township.Police said the victim reported her son stole the money and took her 2002 Toyota Corolla without her permission.

Police said Melleski was located driving the vehicle and was in possession of money

They filed charges of theft and unauthorized use of an automobile in district court.
