Tamaqua woman cited in assault case

Tamaqua police cited Adela Leticia Berrios, 32, of 131 Clay St., Tamaqua, after an incident on June 28.

Officers were called to Clay Street at 4:38 p.m. where they met the female victim, who said Berrios struck her several times in the face. The victim had a cut on the inside of her lip and blood on her face.

Berrios admitted striking the other woman due to a previous incident. She was cited for harassment.
