Woman cited in traffic stop

Debra Hons, 54, of McAdoo was cited by McAdoo police in connection with a traffic stop on June 19.

Hons was driving a green Ford Escort at 12:54 a.m. on South Sheridan Street when an officer on patrol noticed the Ford's license plate lights were not working. He conducted a traffic stop and noticed Hons had a strong odor of alcohol.

Hons performed and failed field sobriety tests after telling the officer she had one beer.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations.
