Man found asleep at the wheel cited

Published July 27. 2016 04:01PM

McAdoo police cited Sean Anderson, 38, of Quakake, after a noise complaint on June 20.

Police received a complaint about loud music coming from the area of South Manning and Sherman streets at 12:56 a.m. On scene they found a Toyota parked on South Manning Street. The windows were open. The stereo was blaring and the driver, Anderson, was slumped over the steering wheel. The car's transmission was in the drive position and Anderson's foot was on the brake.

After attempting to rouse the driver the officer went to the passenger side of the car and was able to shift the car into park and turn down the volume.

He tried again to wake Anderson and was successful.

Field sobriety tests were given, and failed, leading to charges of driving under the influence of alcohol for Anderson.
